"After Painting Factories in Sheffield with Rocket for over 6 years
now, The excitement around the abandoned buildings has grown alot, Back 6
years ago when i painted my first birds in decaying buildings around
Sheffield, I did wonder if anyone would ever go looking for the artwork
in years to come. And it did.
3 years ago myself and Rocket01 received a message from the renound
urban photographer Jeremy Gibbs, he was on the hunt for some of the
pieces we had painted that we had uploaded to the Internet. Including
some of our friend Phlegm’s artwork. Jeremy succeeded well and he put
together the exciting publication “Out of sight” - Signed copies will be available to purchase at the Exhibition.
I decided it was time that the good old sport of urban exploration
was shared amongst Sheffield community, so they can see the type of
places we like to explore.
No other gallery's in Sheffield have explored this topic of interest,
so in July one of the first Hidden Sheffield exhibitions will take place
!"
So, Yes I managed to get down on Friday and it was Great. It was pretty full when i got there and everyone sempt to be in a good mood. Everyone sempt nice and everyone was commenting on the work and mingling (some one did laugh that i had a cannon because he only uses Nikon, no names will be mentioned, nob).
It was a great atmosphere around the exhibition and some great work was shown, prices for the photographs were from around £30 a print unframed to pieces of artwork ranging up to £450!
Fauna and Rocket01 also had their art space open which was good to see how another artist works and some hidden treasures in there of canvas's, sketches etc!
Big up to the Photographers, Artists and all who attended. I hope another exhibition like this will happen soon!

Great Exhib :-)
